ElectricJeep Unveils the All-Electric 2024 Wagoneer S

Jeep has announced the launch of its first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s storied history. This all-electric SUV will initially be available in the U.S. and Canada in the fall of 2024, with plans to expand to international markets thereafter.

The Wagoneer S electric SUV boasts 600 horsepower, 617 lb-ft of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. With a range of over 300 miles on a single charge, it combines power with practicality.

Jeep’s brand-exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system offers five driving modes—Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand—ensuring optimal performance in all conditions. The Wagoneer S Launch Edition, featuring elegant black accents, a reimagined seven-slot illuminated grille, 20-inch wheels, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, will be the first model available, starting at $71,995 (including destination).

Antonio Filosa, Jeep brand CEO, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, “The all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S marks a new chapter in Jeep’s history, blending nearly a century of innovation with cutting-edge electric technology.”

Charging the Wagoneer S is designed to be effortless, with a 400-volt, 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack enabling a 20-80% charge in just 23 minutes using a DC fast charger. Owners will also receive a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or public charging credits through Free2move Charge, Jeep’s comprehensive charging ecosystem.

Built on the flexible STLA Large platform, the Wagoneer S offers all-wheel drive and composed driving dynamics. The SUV’s aerodynamic design, with a coefficient of drag (CD) of 0.29, the lowest ever for a Jeep vehicle, is optimized for efficiency and performance. The sophisticated exterior features a sloping roofline, flush door handles, and an integrated rear spoiler.

Inside, the Wagoneer S offers over 45 inches of usable screen space, including a segment-exclusive 10.25-inch interactive front passenger display. The interior is adorned with premium materials and innovative features, such as a 19-speaker, 1,200-watt McIntosh audio system and customizable LED lighting.

Safety and convenience are paramount, with over 170 standard safety and security features, including Active Driving Assist, Intersection Collision Assist, and Drowsy Driver Detection. The SUV’s flexible architecture supports over-the-air updates, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technology and performance enhancements.
